For the first time since the Jerry Sandusky child sexual abuse scandal, Sandusky’s wife, Dottie, will discuss her husband’s publicized crimes on television. The interview airs this morning on NBC’s “Today” show. Host Matt Lauer traveled to State College on Monday to conduct the Q&A. A clip released yesterday shows Sandusky claiming her husband’s innocence. Controversial documentarian John Ziegler was also involved in the interview. Stay tuned for updates.
STATE COLLEGE ROADWORK
Sparks Street between West Hamilton Avenue and Westerly Parkway in State College will be closed today. Borough Public Works Crews are making sewer line repairs on the 700 block of South Sparks Street. Work is scheduled between 7:30 am and 5:00 pm and is weather permitting.
PENN STATE RECORDS RELEASE
Because of public demand, Penn State plans to release conflict of interest disclosures submitted by the Board of Trustees in August. According to Statecollege.com, extensive work by board candidate Ryan Bagwell led to the university’s decision. Beginning last year, the board required members to disclose any conflict of interests to the board chairman and Office of Trustees. Trustees Anthony Lubrano and Joel Myers have already released their own conflict of interest forms.
