Penn State Expenses Rise

Penn State’s costs related to the Jerry Sandusky scandal continue to rise. As of the end of February, the University spent more than 44-million dollars to cover legal fees, public relations work, consultation costs and the NCAA fine. Updated statistics are provided online on Penn State’s ‘progress’ website. Figures are usually released about 5 weeks after the end of each month.

Bleacher Project Approved

A temporary 20-row bleacher will be installed at State College’s Memorial Field to cover a sinkhole on the east side of the stadium. District officials approved the more than 60-thousand dollar project on Monday night. According to the CDT, the bleacher will replace about 540 of 807 lost seats during renovations. The temporary bleacher can then be moved when the grandstand project begins.
