GRANGE FAIR OPENS THIS WEEK 

Area residents and visitors will flock to Centre Hall later this week for the 140th Annual Grange Fair. “The Centre County Grange Encampment and Fair” opens Thursday, August 21st running through August 28th. One day admission costs $6.00 with a season ticket rate of $15.00. RV campers can move into Grange Park today with tent camps opening on Wednesday.


STATE COLLEGE POLICE NEED HELP

State College Police need help identifying a man who allegedly assaulted another man in a downtown apartment building during Arts Fest weekend. According to Statecollege.com, the incident occurred just before midnight on July 10th at the Centre Court Apartments on South Garner Street. Police say the suspect attacked the victim in the first floor hallway among a large crowd of people. The suspect is about 5-foot-7 and was wearing a black “Rush ATO” shirt, a baseball hat, floral patterned shorts and sandals.


NEW PENN STATE TRADITION

Penn State will showcase its new gameday stadium arrival this morning just after 9 am at Beaver Stadium. The team will still ride the trademark blue busses to Beaver Stadium, but will now exit the busses at the corner of Curtin and Porter Roads and walk down Curtin Road to the south tunnel of Beaver Stadium. At 9:10 this morning, the team will make the short trek off the buses into the stadium for practice.

RESIDENTIAL VANDALISM

State College police are investigating reported vandalism from over the weekend at a home in the 300 block of Goldfinch Drive. According to Statecollege.com, eight windows were smashed, a pick-up truck scratched, mailbox damaged and property disrupted at the home. Anyone with information should contact police at 814-234-7150.
