STATE COLLEGE ROAD WORK

A portion of Calder Way in downtown State College will be closed early today. Calder Way west of Pugh Street will be closed between 7 am and 1 pm. Borough public works crews are installing a streetlight conduit near the intersection.


FERGUSON TOWNSHIP SUPERVISORS 

The Ferguson Township Board of Supervisors meets tonight at 7 pm at township headquarters. Officials will discuss the potential rezoning of commercial property on North Atherton Street and bikeway winter maintenance. Additionally, two public hearings are scheduled, both dealing with parking regulations in the township. The full meeting agenda is available online at www.twp.ferguson.pa.us.

ATTEMPTED ASSAULT AT PSU

Penn State police are reminding students and visitors to avoid walking alone late at night on campus. Overnight Saturday a female reported an alleged attempted sexual assault that occurred near Beaver Stadium and Medlar Field at the intersection of Curtain and Porter Road. Police say the woman was approached by a tall, slender, college-aged white male between 11:41 pm Saturday and 1:02 am Sunday. The man asked the woman if she was all right and attempted to remove her clothes. Police say the woman woke up with her clothes off and ran toward State College, but did not know what happened.


CRASH IN STATE COLLEGE

Police say one man was injured and taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center following a crash Sunday evening at the intersection of Easterly Parkway and South Allen Street. According to the Centre Daily Times, a three-car crash occurred between 5:30 and 5:45 pm. The severity of the injuries were not known.
