FORMER PENN STATE PRESIDENT FACING CHARGES

Feed(s):

Today at a noon news conference, Pennsylvania Attorney General Linda Kelly announced that former Penn State President Graham Spanier will face charges in connection with the Jerry Sandusky sexual abuse scandal. Kelly also said that additional charges are being filed against former university Vice President, Gary Schultz and former Athletic Director, Tim Curley. Schultz and Curley were previously charged with criminal conspiracy, obstruction of justice and endangering the welfare of children. All three men will now face those charges, along with charges of failure to report suspected child abuse and perjury. The charges stem from incidents in 1998 and 2001. Kelly said their actions showed a lack of concern for Sandusky’s victims and a definite intent to shield Sandusky from prosecution. More details as they become available.
