THE HEARING INCLUDED TESTIMONY FROM WHISTLE-BLOWER MIKE MCQUEARY AND E-MAIL EXCHANGES AMONG THE 3 MEN REGARDING 2 INCIDENTS IN WHICH JERRY SANDUSKY WAS SEEN SHOWERING WITH YOUNG BOYS IN A LOCKER ROOM. THE TRIAL IS NOT EXPECTED TO HAPPEN UNTIL AT LEAST THE spring.
A DEADLY PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT LAST NIGHT IN CHESTER HILL BORO, NEAR PHILIPSBURG. STATE POLICE SAY 20 YEAR OLD JOSHUA BAGER OF OSCEOLA MILLS WAS LYING IN THE NORTHBOUND LANE OF STATE ROUTE 53 WHEN HE WAS RUN OVER BY A CAR. THE DRIVER WILL NOT BE CHARGED.
One person died YESTERDAY AFTERNOON in a 3 VEHICLE crash in Somerset County. STATE POLICE SAY 35 YEAR OLD SHAWN HADIX OF CENTRAL CITY RAN A RED LIGHT ON HIS MOTORCYCLE in Quemahoning Township. HE HIT ONE CAR and crashed into another that was stopped at the light. HADIX was not wearing a helmet. No one in the cars was injured.

27 YEAR LEMMEL MYERS OF JOHNSTOWN was arraigned on homicide charges YESTERday. Police say Myers shot 37 YEAR OLD Leslie Schetrompf in the leg last Wednesday BECAUSE SCHETROMPF OWNED HIM 20-DOLLARS. The bullet hit a major artery, and the VICTIM died Saturday from massive blood loss. Myers is in the Cambria County Prison WITHOUT bond.
PennsylvaniA HAS 55-HUNDRED-43 Structurally Deficient Bridges AND U-S Senator Bob Casey IS callING for passage of a budget bill currently on the Senate floor that HE SAYS could upgrade bridges, create jobs, and spur economic growth. The Transportation and Housing and Urban Development Appropriations bill is expected to get a vote this week and is part of Congress’ annual budget. BLAIR COUNTY HAS 336 BRIDGES AND 80 HAVE BEEN DETERMINED TO BE STRUCTURALLY DEFICIENT. 105 OF CLEARFIELD COUNTY’S BRIDGES ARE IN BAD SHAPE, more than 45-percent. CENTRE COUNTY HAS 355 BRIDGES. 66 ARE STRUCTURALLY DEFICIENT.
A group called “Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in WASHINGTON D-C” OR “CREW” says Pennsylvania governor TOM CORBETT is one of the worst in the country. The report CLAIMS HE accepted gifts from campaign donors including a company that wanted to operate a fracking waste site in the state.

HUNTINGDON COUNTY CLIMBED HALF A PERCENTAGE POINT TO 9-POINT-5. CENTRE AND BEDFORD COUNTIES ARE UP 1-TENTH TO 5-POINT-8 AND 9-POINT-2. CLEARFIELD COUNTY HELD STEADY AT 8-POINT-4. THE STATEWIDE JOBLESS RATE REMAINED AT 7-POINT-5 AND THE NATIONAL NUMBER IS STEADY AT 7-POINT-6.
