Corbett Vs the NCAA

The legal battle between Governor Corbett and the NCAA will land in a court room for the first time today.

Judge Yvette Kane will hear oral arguments in the case in Harrisburg. Corbett is suing the NCAA in an antitrust lawsuit that is seeking the reversal of the sanctions the association levied against PennState last July. He also argues that the punishment has a negative effect on the Pennsylvania economy.

The NCAA is asking the judge to throw out the lawsuit saying that Corbett has no business intervening in a settled agreement between the association and the university. The hearing will be held at 2pm.
